• Please request a site-specific quote. 
• All plant equipment leases are quoted per hour.
• Our standard rate includes a competent operator with a valid medical certificate.
• Standard PPE includes safety shoes, reflective vest, and a hard hat.
• Normal working hours is from 7am to 5pm with a 1-hour break.
• Normal working hours include travelling to and from site.
• Overtime, Saturday, Sunday & public holidays will be charged at an additional rate for the specific plant equipment leased.

• For a short-term lease, we must receive full payment in our bank account before we dispatch the plant to site.
• For a long-term lease, payment must be received in our bank account for additional rental days at least 12 hours before the rental term concludes, and the Lessee must sign a new terms & conditions letter.
• Off-hire Notice, Charges and Collection
  • ⁠The client must give DSB Plant Hire at least 18 working hours’ written notice by email or WhatsApp before ending the machine hire. Only agreed daytime working hours count towards this notice period.
  • ⁠If less than 18 working hours’ notice is given, hire charges continue until the notice period ends, provided the machine is working and available for use. The minimum 9-hour charge applies to each booked working day affected. Unused hours during this period will not be refunded or credited.
  • Any prepaid balance remaining after these charges have been deducted will be refunded. These terms are subject to applicable law.

Cancellation & Refunds

• Should a booking or registration be cancelled after payment has been made, a 10% administration and cancellation fee will be deducted from the total amount paid before any applicable refund is processed.

• DSB Plant Hire will not accept any liability for loss or damage caused by operators or plant whatsoever.
• Operators to be managed by Lessee during work activities and clear instructions to be communicated to operators.
• Tyre punctures, cuts, and damaged rims on site will be for the account of the Lessee.
• On days that our plant cannot work due to conditions out of our control (like inclement weather, industrial action etc.) we will invoice 50% of quoted rates.
• Please note that any form of operator poaching is strictly prohibited within our company’s policies and values.

• DSB Plant Hire will ensure that the plant is topped up with fuel as per the operator’s needs analysis to ensure the plant does not have any standing time.
• Fuel drop price will be included in site-specific quote for remote sites.

• Plant equipment must be returned when leased on a dry rate with the same fuel level as when it arrived. Please ensure diesel is available on-site upon the plant’s arrival, as no downtime will be recorded for equipment waiting on fuel.
• Plant standing time while waiting for fuel will be for the account of the Lessee.
• Damages to plant due to dirty or incompatible fuel will be for the account of the Lessee at one of our reputable Mechanical Technicians.

• Operator travelling to and from remote sites where accommodation is not available will be included in the quote.
• Operator accommodation at remote sites to be arranged by the Lessee and will be for the account of the Lessee.
• Operator accommodation to be of sound construct, a toilet, bath/shower and running water to be available. Operators are not allowed to sleep in plant.
• For long term leases the Lessee will be required to ensure transport for the operator to town if site is in a remote location.

• Lessee to ensure that plant is parked behind a locked gate at night when plant is required to stay over on site.
• If there is not a secured parking bay the Lessee is to ensure that there is security at night when plant is required to stay over.
